El relevo de la Carta Mundial de las Mujeres para la Humanidad se termino el 17 de octubre en Ouagadougou en el Burkina Faso.  Después de la Marcha, una Plaza de la Mujer para la Paz fue bautisada.

La Carta fue también presentada a mujeres quien serán depositarias de la Carta por realisar concretamente los valores de la Carta:

- Paz : la red Mujeres en negro

- Solidaridad : Via Campesina

- Justicia: las abuelas de la Plaza de Mayo, Argentina

- Igualdad: Nawal El Sadaawi

- Libertad: Aung San Suu Kyi
