Statement of the World March of Women in the Mexican Thematic World Social Forum

05-05-2010

The World March of Women has been struggling for our rights for 10 years, and is celebrating its anniversary coindiding with the 10th anniversary of the World Social Forum (WSF), process that was consolidated by the participation of thousands of women from different organizations around the world.
The presence of women is being recognized and accepted in the WSF because of a transversal gender approach and the actions that we carry out as a movement that struggles for new economical, political models that have a feminist perspective. We
have been progressing in the construction of proposals of justice, peace, democracy, freedom and solidarity.
