24 Hours of Feminist Solidarity - Australia
Australian women will be organising activities in several cities. For example, in Sydney, the Australian Services Union is asking women in their own workplaces to share lunch on the day; to take the time to sit down together and discuss the tougher issues facing women today. In Canberra for the opening day of the 90th Women's Peace Festival a lunchtime vigil will be held in the ACT Legislative Assembly. The Australian Education Union hopes to plan an activity in the Trades hall in Melbourne.
