Patchwork Quilt - Cameroon
Our square was realized by an artist of the March on a made traditional
fabric of bark of tree, "OBOM". It represents the symbols of the
utopian Humanity dreamed by Camerun's women, namely, a man, a woman,
children, the symbols of peace, equity and capacity (the tree of peace,
the cola, the pipe, drive out-flies), the fight against poverty
materialized by a hoe, the yellow snail gold which is the mascot of the
World March of the Women in Cameroun (the pace of snail translates the
difficulty of fighting against poverty and discriminations, its center
represents the opening of the women to solidarity, and the yellow color
gold means the richness for all).
