La Carta acogida en Brindisi

El 13 y 14 de mayo, la Carta mundial hizo una etapa en Italia. El 13 de mayo, en la tarde, tuvimos un seminario en la sala del Consejo Regional sobre la cuestión de la guerra y del papel de las mujeres en la construcción de la paz. El sábado por la mañana, las mujeres de la región de Pouilles acogieron en el puerto de Brindisi una delegación de 30 mujeres de la MMM griega, llegadas por barco de Patras, que traeron la Carta y la manta.

La segunda parte del seminario tuvo como tema la degradación de las condiciones de vida de las mujeres. El sábado en la tarde, un cortejo de 300 mujeres recorrieron las calles de la ciudad de Brindisi llamando la atención entre otras cosas sobre la cuestión del referéndum para abolir la ley que concierne a la procreación medicalmente asistada, que penaliza a las mujeres y pone bajo tutela los derechos de la persona tan concebida.

Al final de la manifestación, la Carta ha sido presentada al público y la entrega de la manta de Grecia hasta Italia dio la señal para empezar una fiesta cultural regional mediterránea.
