Arrival of international participants, and reception and settling in of delegates
OCTOBER 16 2005
Morning: Official reception of the Charter
Afternoon: Visit with grassroots women's groups who are working to address poverty and
violence against women in Burkina Faso
Cultural evening: A cultural evening of discussions and sharing with women's groups
OCTOBER 17 2005
- Launch of the March outside WMW headquarters in Burkina Faso (late-morning departure)
- March for about 3 km (featuring songs, slogans, etc. as we walk)
- Activity for the 24 Hours of Global Feminist Solidarity action (noon - 1 p.m.): Baptism of the
WMW for Peace public square, use of the patchwork quilt, Call for Peace, presentation of the
Charter to the official representing the State of Burkina Faso
- The rest of the afternoon is free
- Cocktail event in the evening
OCTOBER 18 2005
Sightseeing for international participants (optional) or departure of delegates, depending on their
program
