2000 - Changing the World Step by Step
Mosaic in Tribute to Women’s Struggles Worldwide
One of the largest popular mobilizations of the end of the century will be unfolding from March until October 2000: the World March of Women in the Year 2000. On every continent, women are now demanding an end to overwhelming poverty and violence. At the initiation of the Fédération des femmes du Québec, women have been preparing this huge and multi-faceted March for the last two years, spurred on by the actions of women around the world.
In this collection, Changing the World Step by Step, 50 impressive examples of women’s struggles have been gathered under 12 headings, from the global economy to lesbian rights. These examples of actions will raise awareness and surely make solidarity contagious.
This collection, Changing the World Step by Step, is published in French, English and Spanish. A true mosaic of women’s resistance worldwide, it brims with personal stories and practical references and will be a fabulous tool for education, training and mobilization.
