The World March of Women in the Year 2000 was made possible thanks to the commitment of all participating groups throughout the world; thanks to the national coordinating bodies; thanks to the members of all the committees, including the Coordinating Committee, the Board of Directors of the Fédération des femmes du Québec, and the International Liaison Committee; thanks to the women working on the international team and the many volunteers; and, most especially, thanks to all the women who believed in the March.
Since the World March of Women was a collective undertaking carried out by an incalculable number of women across the planet, you will find very few names mentioned in this document. Nonetheless, we wish to single out Françoise David, president of the Fédération des Femmes du Québec from 1994 to 2001, and Diane Matte, World March of Women coordinator as of 1997, for their outstanding contribution.

Women on the March is a project undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and Status of Women Canada, and with the support of the Intersyndicale des femmes, the CSN, CSQ, Inter Pares, the QFL, FIIQ, SFPQ, AQOCI, CECI, CUSO, Alternatives and SUCO
