In 2002, the World March of Women took an active part in the World Social Forum in Porto Alegre (Brazil). She also took part in the NGO Global Forum called "Financing the Right to Sustainable and Equitable Development", which took place a few days prior to the United Nations' official Conference on Financing for Development, in Monterrey, Mexico, March 14-17, 2002.
